A clear compass of values is a crucial component of Aware Fitness at FIT VIII. It helps us to make decisions in everyday life and in our personal process that are truly in line with our identity. Values show what is important to us is – and how we translate these priorities into actions. The goal of the fourth aspectVALUES is to act more consciously through a better understanding of one’s own values and live a more fulfilling life. We divide this fourth aspect into the areas of identity, motive , application and – as always – awareness.

Identity

Values arise from our identity – they reflect who we are and what we to make this inner core tangible to do this, it is helpful to know your own to define core values. In the Aware Fitness we use to determine values

the so-called " value star ": from a large selection of possible values first, you choose five that you feel most strongly

This ranking creates clarity about which values your everyday life and your decisions currently We distinguish between self-valeu and added value – that is, between the intrinsic reasons why you do something and the extrinsic ones that relate to other self-values are the principles that give you support, independent of external confirmation. Added value is what you bring to your environment – your external impact.

de together form your identity: they describe who you are and what you stand for .

Only when you know this balance can you make clearer and more authentic decisions.

Motive

Values are only powerful when they are

Your actions become visible. The mo-

tiv describes why you live your values

st – and how deeply they are in your conviction real beliefs are constant and consistent: they are not only when it is easy, but especially when you are tested. A value-oriented The motive acts out of immediacy – you act for the value itself, not to achieve another goal. This inner attitude promotes awareness : You recognize that you are fallible, but can develop further through reflection. Values work now means To take responsibility, to remain critical of oneself and to tive again and again. Another part of the motive is morality . It is shown in Humility, tolerance and helpfulness – in the ability to appreciate the values of others Those who act morally do not live rigidly according to rules, but combine attitude with Compassion. In this way, value orientation does not become a dogma, but a conscious decision decision for integrity.

Application

Value orientation is evident in everyday life – in situations, decisions, and conflicts. Therefore, in the third step, we examine its practical application. Here, the goal is to

know which values are active at a given moment and which may conflict with each other.

This classification is the first step: understanding why you react to a situation the way you do. This is followed by prioritization – knowing when to prioritize one value over another without betraying yourself. Not every value always takes precedence; sometimes the situation requires you to put courage before safety, or responsibility before comfort. Norms are the structures that help you implement these values in everyday life – instructions, rituals, routines. And finally comes integrity : the consistency between what you say and what you do. Integrity means living up to values – even when no one is watching. Only through this consistent implementation does value orientation become a stable foundation for your personal development.

Awareness

Values are not static. They evolve with your experiences, roles, and life phases. Therefore, the final step in values work —

as in all aspects of Aware Fitness — is awareness . This means regularly reflecting on whether your values still fit your current life. Happens through reevaluation : a conscious look at your priorities and their relationship Helpful tools here are journaling – the regular writing personal reflection – as well as external feedback . Both help you identify blind spots and adjust your orientation without losing the core values that sustain you.

We hope you were able to gain some insight from this post and look forward to hearing your questions or feedback. See you soon at FIT VIII and take care!
